Fitted wardrobes and storage made in workshop and scribed to the actual walls — plus flooring, ceilings, lighting and finishes to complete the room.
Most bedroom projects in Dubai come down to one thing: storage that actually fits the room.
Freestanding wardrobes waste the space above them and leave gaps at the sides. Rooms with sloping ceilings, structural columns or awkward corners lose more. A fitted run uses the full height and the full width, and that is usually where the value in a bedroom renovation sits.
RSK handles bedroom renovation across Dubai villas and apartments, with wardrobes and storage made in workshop and scribed to the actual walls.
A bedroom is one of the simpler rooms to renovate, because there is no drainage and usually no structural work. That makes it a joinery and finishes project with a small electrical component.
The sequence is straightforward: any ceiling and partition work first, then electrical first fix for the new lighting and socket layout, then flooring, then painting, then joinery installation last. Wardrobes go in after the walls are finished, which is why the site remeasure happens late.
The decisions that matter are made before any of that, at the point where storage is planned.
For wardrobes and finishes, usually not. For partitions, sometimes.
Installing storage, painting, changing flooring and adding lighting inside the unit is the lightest scope. Most buildings still expect notification before contractors and materials arrive, and apartment access rules on lift booking, protection and working hours apply to any trade.
Adding a partition to create a dressing area is different. In an apartment that normally needs building management approval, particularly where it affects the fire compartmentation or an AC diffuser serves the new space. In a villa it is usually straightforward unless structure is involved.
Wardrobes carry most of the budget, and they are priced by the linear metre. What moves the number:
Joinery manufacture sets the programme, and it happens off site.
Drawings are approved first, then materials ordered, then manufacture. A site remeasure is usually taken once the room is painted and the flooring is down, because a unit made to the drawing rather than the finished wall will not sit flush.
Site work itself is short. The waiting is in the workshop, which is why late design changes push the installation date rather than shortening manufacture.
Ask for the carcass board, the door finish and the hardware to be named in the quotation. Two wardrobe prices are not comparable without them.
Send us the room dimensions and a photo of the wall where the wardrobe goes. We will measure on site, plan the internal layout with you, and quote with the board, finish and hardware named.
